The following items were printed in the February 28, 1994 edition of the Preview, under the heading of "Century Notes- News of Another Century."

A disastrous fire at East Jordan Saturday resulted in the burning of six business houses. The loss is nearly $20,000 with no insurance. The thermometer stood at 18-degrees below zero and for a time it looked as if the whole town might go.

Medical advice of a century ago. Children should be taught to use both hands alike, for employing one more than another, will make one hand and side of the body bigger than the other and is often the cause of crookedness.
